In the 3rd minute Luciano Lauaxeta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andriy Lunin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tjeerd Zwaanswijk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Elodio in the 16th minute of play. Tjeerd Zwaanswijk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Elodio, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Melber. 23 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Lauaxeta came free, but Andriy Lunin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Chen Zhen was substituted for Steffen Michalsky. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Eustaquio Brufau was substituted for Ödön Szily. In the 42nd match minute, Dynamo Blitz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmiro Janpier to maneuver through the defense. David Elodio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Tjeerd Zwaanswijk made a huge save. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. booed when Dynamo Blitz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Bertin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delmiro Janpier hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. were awarded a corner. Toralf Hell went to the cornerflag to take it. If David Elodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. David Elodio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tjeerd Zwaanswijk having to interfere. Delmiro Janpier hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Elodio in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tjeerd Zwaanswijk saved Dynamo Blitz from getting behind. Toralf Hell took the corner. 91 minutes into the match, Dynamo Blitz's goal looked a bit too open when David Elodio came free, but Tjeerd Zwaanswijk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
