After 36 played minutes Jereba 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Raí Peixoto. Décio Negri hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Rafinha Cearense took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Andréas Linquist. Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jereba 4EVER's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rafinha Cearense in the 41st minute. 46 minutes into the game, Jereba 4EVER's João Pedro Moreno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andréas Linquist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Jereba 4EVER's Dito Quirino was substituted for Geovani Sanches. The wind increased when Dito Quirino made the kick off in the second half. The referee showed Manfredo Pombal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Jereba 4EVER eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
