An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilgaz Aydoğan in the 16th minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Andréas Linquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grêmio FBPA's attentive Daniel Portillo managed to snatch the ball when Duda Cordeiro made a throw-in in the 19th minute of the game. Osvaldinho Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgiliu Doroftei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hori Galli got free with Andréas Linquist in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Osvaldinho Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgiliu Doroftei in the 38th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dalmo Motta during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st match minute, Facopo FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmo Motta to maneuver through the defense. Andréas Linquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhivko Húntev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience was convinced that Ilgaz Aydoğan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andréas Linquist was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Andréas Linquist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Facopo FBPA's Osvaldinho Moreno got control of the ball when Gergely Takács tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andréas Linquist came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Facopo FBPA's Ilgaz Aydoğan. But to his dismay, Ilgaz Aydoğan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Andréas Linquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhivko Húntev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Armando Obeko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osvaldinho Moreno was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Facopo FBPA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Serafim Salles scored to the left of an out of position Osvaldinho Moreno, making the score, 3-3. Daniel Portillo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
