Zigmantas Gimbutass short, quick shot in the 2ndth minute got Nilson do Vale to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Antonio Adán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Sobis in the 4th minute of the match. SC Braga's Antonio Adán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Tormes in the 7th minute of play. Zigmantas Gimbutass short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Nilson do Vale to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Sobis in the 13th minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Antonio Adán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goal looked a bit too open when Zigmantas Gimbutas came free, but Nilson do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zigmantas Gimbutas struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Nilson do Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Braga. Quintino Carvalhais kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Antonio Adán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Sobis in the 27th minute of play. Zigmantas Gimbutas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Nilson do Vale skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Antonio Adán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Sobis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quintino Carvalhais hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bandelocos's zone, Zigmantas Gimbutas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilson do Vale came out of the goal and Zigmantas Gimbutas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Zigmantas Gimbutas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nilson do Vale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zigmantas Gimbutas's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. In the 45thth minute of the game Zigmantas Gimbutas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 47th minute of the match Lu Xun Lei shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nilson do Vale showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafael Sobis was the one to do the kick off. Nilson do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zigmantas Gimbutas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Bandelocos's Antonio Adán threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Henry Tormes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 1-0 became the score in the 59th minute when Zigmantas Gimbutas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Nilson do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Jordão, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Valdomiro Lira kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. SC Braga made a substitution. Geraldo Lucas replaced André Jordão. After 65 played minutes SC Braga got a freekick which was hit by Valdomiro Lira. Luís Gustavo Urbano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Stig-Åke Mattsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nilson do Vale was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 73rd minute, Stig-Åke Mattsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Braga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Nilson do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quintino Carvalhais in the 76th minute of the match. After 76th play minutes Stig-Åke Mattsson shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Nilson do Vale and just under the crossbar into goal. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Antonio Adán successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 81st minute of play. In the 85th minute Rafael Sobis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Adán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute Quintino Carvalhais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henry Tormes's late challenge caught a SC Braga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henry Tormes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st minute, Henry Tormes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th match minute, SC Braga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Åke Mattsson to maneuver through the defense. SC Braga's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
