Hartmann Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after São José City - FSCMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anselmo Rosado took the corner. The corner led Hartmann Futebol Clube's Anselmo Rosado to fire away a dangerous shot which George Buffon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 21 played minutes, São José City - FSCMZ's Cássio Rocha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jefferson Oliveira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in São José City - FSCMZ reached it. With an all-out effort, Hartmann Futebol Clube's George Buffon threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anselmo Rosado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Faas Romário's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Buffon was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. George Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Askelöf in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the São José City - FSCMZ defense, Zeus Müller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of George Buffon. The São José City - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that George Buffon should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute, Cássio da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. George Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faas Romário in the 94th minute of play. A collision led to São José City - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Dagoberto Linares hit a great ball. When Wiktor Askelöf came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Hartmann Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wiktor Askelöf couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hartmann Futebol Clube fans cheered their team off the field, for while São José City - FSCMZ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
