After having played for 22 minutes, Cláudio Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olímpico FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute of the match, Ferenc Puskás tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Geovânio Hoffmann saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A hard shot 28 in the game by Ferenc Puskás from a close distance when the talented Geovânio Hoffmann managed to make a qualified save. Olímpico FC's players were relieved. A nice corner shot did that Orhun Taran got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Geovânio Hoffmann quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Răzvan Hizo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Geovânio Hoffmann made a huge save. After 32 minutes of play, Olímpico FC's David Aiach made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adalberto de Moraes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36th minute Cláudio Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ferenc Puskás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferenc Puskás in the 40th minute of play forced Olímpico FC's goalkeeper Geovânio Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Guarani Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when David Aiach came free, but Adalberto de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, David Aiach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferenc Puskás to make the kick off. Geovânio Hoffmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferenc Puskás's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute Guarani Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Orhun Taran went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Guarani Futebol Clube's Orhun Taran to fire away a dangerous shot which Geovânio Hoffmann despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Orhun Taran took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovânio Hoffmann. Geovânio Hoffmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Xavier Modrić hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. David Aiach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Orhun Taran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Hoffmann having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferenc Puskás in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geovânio Hoffmann saved Olímpico FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Guarani Futebol Clube's Reginaldo do Valle got a free kick in the 85th minute. Agnaldo Carneiro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 86th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Olímpico FC's Geovânio Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Hizo in the 89th minute of play. Guarani Futebol Clube's Adalberto de Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Guarani Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Orhun Taran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chants of Olímpico FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Guarani Futebol Clube had held the ball for most of the match.
