With a little luck, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Benê Goiano got control of the ball when Jerônimo Moreno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Gamarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benê Goiano having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Alexander Hedin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BARBARIDADE G.M. and the 20 DE SETEMBRO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Gamarra charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Gamarra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Carlos Gamarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. Alexander Hedin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Benê Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Maurinho Tróia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. De-la-Cruz de Alcântara was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Antônio Carlos Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
