Benê Goiano was a little too slow when Arí Pereira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. Murilo Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benê Goiano having to interfere. Dida Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaspar Aasmaa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The 20 DE SETEMBRO fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when 20 DE SETEMBRO's Emil Forsberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When LauerArmy's Arí Pereira in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. LauerArmy's Arí Pereira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benê Goiano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When LauerArmy's Arí Pereira in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Erivaldo Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 20 DE SETEMBRO's Benê Goiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save 20 DE SETEMBRO from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arí Pereira was the one to do the kick off. When Arí Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the LauerArmy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arí Pereira couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, LauerArmy's Dida Nascimento got control of the ball when Kaspar Aasmaa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute Didier Drogba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benê Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Murilo Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benê Goiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th match minute, 20 DE SETEMBRO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Prata to maneuver through the defense. Benê Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konstanty Kojder in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percival de Souza in the 95th minute of play forced 20 DE SETEMBRO's goalkeeper Benê Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benê Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percival de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. 20 DE SETEMBRO's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
