Dariusz Wos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hélio O'Connell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute A.C. Patagonia were awarded a corner. Rui Costa went to the cornerflag to take it. In a very dangerous position, a player in Maritek FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 15 minutes, A.C. Patagonia's Rui Costa got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hélio O'Connell. Nils Støle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felice Tacco in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferruccio Zarillo in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nils Støle saved A.C. Patagonia from getting behind. Nils Støle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felice Tacco in the 27th minute of the match. The supporters of A.C. Patagonia booed when Maritek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrea Mariani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils Støle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felice Tacco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dariusz Wos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nils Støle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felice Tacco, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, A.C. Patagonia's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Santo came free, but Nils Støle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Dariusz Wos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dariusz Wos made the kick off in the second half. A.C. Patagonia's Horea Boian was substituted for Ludwig Wassenius. In the 59th minute, Dariusz Wos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.C. Patagonia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.
