Nils Støle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Bezerra in the 26th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Schuster's goalkeeper Donato Ali had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horea Boian. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Schuster's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafael Nóbrega was slow to take the kick. During this time A.C. Patagonia's players had a chance to rest. A.C. Patagonia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rafael Nóbrega in the 33rd minute. Anfilogino Pittelli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nils Støle having to make a save. Schuster's Donato Ali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Wos in the 42nd minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 50th match minute, Schuster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Miconi to maneuver through the defense. In the 51stth minute of the game Dariusz Wos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schuster's Donato Ali was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 54 minutes into the game, Dariusz Wos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Donato Ali was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A.C. Patagonia made a substitution. Sylwester Sroka replaced Rui Costa. Aldo Di Carlo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato Ali read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Schuster's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafael Nóbrega was slow to take the kick. During this time A.C. Patagonia's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Rafael Nóbrega got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Donato Ali quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aldo Di Carlo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out.
