Alexander Bottone started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Alexander Bottone notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Schuster's Donato Ali. Donato Ali was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Donato Ali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merexildo Oliveras, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Bottone in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Ali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th minute Mauro Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Rotili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Alexander Bottone managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.S. Udinese's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Bottone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Ali breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A.S. Udinese's attentive Bruno Maranzano managed to snatch the ball when Flavio Miconi made a throw-in in the 21st minute of the game. Donato Ali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Bottone in the 22nd minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Alexander Bottone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donato Ali. Schuster's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexander Bottone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Alvaro Rotili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Bezerra in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute Merexildo Oliveras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Ali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Bezerra in the 39th minute of play forced A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper Alvaro Rotili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauro Bezerra in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvaro Rotili saved A.S. Udinese from getting behind. Flavio Miconi made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by A.S. Udinese's Bruno Maranzano. Donato Ali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Bottone in the 46th minute of play.

A.S. Udinese made a substitution. Alberigo Di Franco replaced Merexildo Oliveras. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mauro Bezerra made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexander Bottone got free with Donato Ali in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes into the match, Alexander Bottone notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Schuster's Donato Ali. Donato Ali was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Bezerra in the 64th minute of play forced A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper Alvaro Rotili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Musko Cuevas in the 87th minute of play. Schuster's Saul Piarres got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alvaro Rotili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Piarres in the 92nd minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Schuster's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Bottone came free, but Donato Ali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
