Fabiano Violento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Alvaro Sanna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Giusto in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the Old BaoBaB Accademy defense, Concetto De Nardis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabiano Violento. The Old BaoBaB Accademy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabiano Violento should have stopped the shot. Alvaro Sanna made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Robert Pirès sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Club Sicilia's zone, Emiliano Giusto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Sanna came out of the goal and Emiliano Giusto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emiliano Giusto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Alvaro Sanna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvaro Sanna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Pirès in the 38th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emiliano Giusto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Emiliano Giusto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Alvaro Sanna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 60th minute, Emiliano Giusto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Old BaoBaB Accademy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Fabiano Violento made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Concetto Rucci sent off a good shot on target. Old BaoBaB Accademy's Emilio Buffone was substituted for Emiliano Giusto. Sporting Club Sicilia made a substitution. Dino Coletti replaced Emiliano Pizziolo. With a little luck, Old BaoBaB Accademy's Fabiano Violento got control of the ball when Concetto Rucci tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alvaro Sanna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anfilogino Furia in the 89th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Sporting Club Sicilia's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Buffone came free, but Alvaro Sanna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
