Corrado Contestabile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Concetto De Nardis, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Hyblae FC's Corrado Contestabile proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Hyblae FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Concetto Rucci got free with Corrado Contestabile in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Sporting Club Sicilia's goal looked a bit too open when Ferruccio Festuccia came free, but Alvaro Sanna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corrado Contestabile was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Guaberto Cristos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 29 minute of play. In the 36th minute Concetto De Nardis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corrado Contestabile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Corrado Contestabile successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 39th minute of the match Hyblae FC got a corner. Sporting Club Sicilia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alfredo Mammarella ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alvaro Sanna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amedeo Giancola, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Corrado Contestabile didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Concetto Rucci went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Concetto De Nardis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amedeo Giancola made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Concetto De Nardis made a precise shot to the right of Corrado Contestabile. Hyblae FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Sporting Club Sicilia's Alvaro Sanna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Club Sicilia from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferruccio Festuccia in the 61st minute of play forced Sporting Club Sicilia's goalkeeper Alvaro Sanna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corrado Contestabile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Concetto Rucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Corrado Contestabile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto De Nardis in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Siniša Stjepanović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sporting Club Sicilia's Dino Coletti was substituted for Emiliano Pizziolo. When Raúl Donatello came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Hyblae FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raúl Donatello couldn't finish the play. Bernardo Montel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Corrado Contestabile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corrado Contestabile came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Club Sicilia's Concetto De Nardis. But to his dismay, Concetto De Nardis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Corrado Contestabile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Cristos, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 94 minutes into the game, Sporting Club Sicilia's Guaberto Cristos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Corrado Contestabile made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Sporting Club Sicilia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
