In the 5th minute, 1930 Bafraspor's Rıdvan Balıkçı ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ago Vaasna. Ago Vaasna yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 8th minute Rıdvan Balıkçı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ago Vaasna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, KFC Uerdingen 05's goalkeeper Ago Vaasna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rıdvan Balıkçı. Rıdvan Balıkçı scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ago Vaasna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to KFC Uerdingen 05 getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Marian Matetzki hit a great ball. Rıdvan Balıkçı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ago Vaasna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rıdvan Balıkçı in the 32nd minute. The supporters of 1930 Bafraspor booed when KFC Uerdingen 05 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Matetzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rıdvan Balıkçı in the 36th minute of play forced KFC Uerdingen 05's goalkeeper Ago Vaasna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KFC Uerdingen 05's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Rıdvan Balıkçı scored to the left of an out of position Ago Vaasna, making the score, 4-0. 41 minutes into the match, Rıdvan Balıkçı dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ago Vaasna, 5-0. Ago Vaasna was a little too slow when Rıdvan Balıkçı got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 6-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simon Bannenbusch was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, 1930 Bafraspor's Rıdvan Balıkçı nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ago Vaasna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Uerdingen 05's zone, Rıdvan Balıkçı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ago Vaasna came out of the goal and Rıdvan Balıkçı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Çakır Alyakut made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabrizio Nowak in the 65th minute. The audience was convinced that Martin Johansson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ago Vaasna was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Martin Johansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ago Vaasna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henk Veerman's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Henk Veerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ago Vaasna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nedim Üster in the 76th minute of the match. Rui Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Nedim Üster hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Bannenbusch in the 84th minute of play forced 1930 Bafraspor's goalkeeper Çakır Alyakut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ago Vaasna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henk Veerman in the 89th minute of play. Ago Vaasna came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by 1930 Bafraspor's Martin Johansson. But to his dismay, Martin Johansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. KFC Uerdingen 05's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
