The supporters of Grêmio FBPA booed when Juoksengi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Erik Magnusson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute Karl-Erik Magnusson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvinho Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl-Erik Magnusson in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvinho Perez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joélson Guimarães hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. John Wiberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Osvaldinho Marquez fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio FBPA's protests and gave Osvaldinho Marquez a yellow card for diving instead. Osvaldinho Marquez hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The supporters of Juoksengi booed when Grêmio FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldinho Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvinho Perez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl-Erik Magnusson went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Osvaldinho Marquez hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Karl-Erik Magnusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Silvinho Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Erik Magnusson in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Juoksengi were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edu Zonta was the one to do the kick off. Silvinho Perez stood somewhat misplaced when Karl-Erik Magnusson came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 55 minute. After 60 played minutes Juoksengi got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Osoro. Karl-Erik Magnusson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Silvinho Perez made a huge save. Grêmio FBPA's Osvaldinho Marquez got his second yellow card of the match in the 69th minute. The referee ordered Osvaldinho Marquez off the ground. In the 70th match minute, Grêmio FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldinho Marquez to maneuver through the defense. The Juoksengi fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Juoksengi's Karl-Erik Magnusson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With his leg Silvinho Perez managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Juoksengi's Karl-Erik Magnusson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 82nd minute of the match, Karl-Erik Magnusson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Silvinho Perez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A hard shot 84 in the game by Karl-Erik Magnusson from a close distance when the talented Silvinho Perez managed to make a qualified save. Grêmio FBPA's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eskil Gustafsson during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
