An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Negri in the 11th minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Silvinho Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vito Maia took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvinho Perez. Silvinho Perez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 15 minutes into the game, Vito Maia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Silvinho Perez. Grêmio FBPA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Vito Maia scored to the left of an out of position Silvinho Perez, making the score, 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Floresta Club U18's Vito Maia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Silvinho Perez. That made the score 5-0 after 22 minutes of play. Silvinho Perez didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 25th minute, which inside left pole to 6-0. 32 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Silvinho Perez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusébio Baptista. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 11-0.
