After taking down the ball on Compostela FSCMZ's corner Remo Alagoano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dedê Campidelis quite easily take care of the ball. 18 minutes into the game, one of Compostela FSCMZ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Compostela FSCMZ:s Virgílio Miranda showed great skill when he stopped Bruno Cardozo:s penalty. After some careless play in the Compostela FSCMZ defense, Bruno Cardozo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgílio Miranda. The Compostela FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgílio Miranda should have stopped the shot. Compostela FSCMZ's Virgílio Miranda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Compostela FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute UPTEXTIL.COM were awarded a corner. Doni Urbano went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Baltazar Paraibano heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Doni Urbano fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UPTEXTIL.COM's protests and gave Doni Urbano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st match minute, UPTEXTIL.COM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doni Urbano to maneuver through the defense. Remo Alagoano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dedê Campidelis. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 55th match minute, Compostela FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Compostela FSCMZ getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Remo Alagoano hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Remo Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgílio Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doni Urbano in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Compostela FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raí Peres to maneuver through the defense. Compostela FSCMZ's Lúcio Dantas was substituted for Cesinha Paraense. After 65 played minutes Compostela FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Raí Peres. In the 66th minute of the match Doni Urbano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Virgílio Miranda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of UPTEXTIL.COM booed when Compostela FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baltazar Paraibano in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgílio Miranda saved Compostela FSCMZ from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Furtado in the 78th minute of play forced Compostela FSCMZ's goalkeeper Virgílio Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
