Al Wieczorek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eladio Escalona having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Mapovihesa FC's goalkeeper Constantin Potocianu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubén Martínez. Eladio Escalona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Erramu in the 16th minute of play. If Raimundo Erramu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 20th minute Al Wieczorek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eladio Escalona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eladio Escalona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Al Wieczorek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colo-Colo's Eladio Escalona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Al Wieczorek in the 24th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Marco-Antonio Etcheverry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32ndth minute of the game Marcial Iratze who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colo-Colo's Eladio Escalona was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rubén Martínez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Constantin Potocianu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Erramu came free, but Eladio Escalona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubén Martínez scored 1-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Constantin Potocianu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rafael Figueroa made in the 44th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Kálmán Pádár immediately put the ball in play. Kálmán Pádár hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rubén Martínez in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Constantin Potocianu saved Mapovihesa FC from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rubén Martínez was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Mapovihesa FC defense, Rubén Martínez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Constantin Potocianu. The Mapovihesa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Constantin Potocianu should have stopped the shot. Marco-Antonio Etcheverry hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 64 minutes, Tomislav Parev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colo-Colo and the Mapovihesa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Constantin Potocianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubén Martínez in the 69th minute of the match. Colo-Colo's Eladio Escalona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Iratze in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Mapovihesa FC's Usain Bolt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eladio Escalona made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Colo-Colo made a substitution. Carlitos Caszely replaced Honorio Droguett. Colo-Colo made a substitution. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Usain Bolt in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eladio Escalona saved Colo-Colo from getting behind. Colo-Colo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Usain Bolt scored to the left of an out of position Eladio Escalona, making the score, 3-4. Mapovihesa FC played a much better game than Colo-Colo and deserved their victory. The Colo-Colo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
