Luisito Quinten came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by CA Boca Jrs's Enzo Cinalli. But to his dismay, Enzo Cinalli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Lyons defense, Enzo Cinalli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisito Quinten. The Lyons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisito Quinten should have stopped the shot. Pico Bădila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Berasko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute Anoush Rott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luisito Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermanno Ferrini in the 17th minute of play. Pico Bădila made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Boleslaw Zielinski sent off a good shot on target. 22 minutes into the game, Boleslaw Zielinski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pico Bădila. Boleslaw Zielinski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Edmondo Frezza hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Luisito Quinten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermanno Ferrini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ermanno Ferrini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luisito Quinten was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvise De Rossi in the 39th minute of play forced Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisito Quinten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermanno Ferrini in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, CA Boca Jrs's goalkeeper Pico Bădila had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Boleslaw Zielinski. In the 45th minute, Lyons's Mario Chago ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pico Bădila. Pico Bădila yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

51 minutes into the match, Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ermanno Ferrini. Pico Bădila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boleslaw Zielinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pico Bădila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boleslaw Zielinski in the 60th minute of the match. Lyons's Aurelio Vasco was substituted for Mario Chago. Lyons were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after CA Boca Jrs's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcos Berasko took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Wambasther Piqué heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 78 minutes of play, Lyons's Dariusz Roano made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pico Bădila was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luisito Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Cinalli in the 84th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Dariusz Roano made a precise shot to the right of Pico Bădila. CA Boca Jrs's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. CA Boca Jrs's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
