After 8 played minutes Lyons got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Salvadore. Luisito Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wojciech Kobeko in the 9th minute of play. Chucky Norris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boleslaw Zielinski in the 11th minute of play. Boleslaw Zielinski struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Chucky Norris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lyons. With a couple of smart ball manuevers You Nan in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisito Quinten saved Lyons from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, SAN MARTIN F.C.'s goalkeeper Chucky Norris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Boleslaw Zielinski. In the 33rd minute SAN MARTIN F.C. were awarded a corner. Sadettin Talayer went to the cornerflag to take it. Boleslaw Zielinski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chucky Norris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, Lyons's Ruperto Salvadore made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chucky Norris was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lyons's Luisito Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sadettin Talayer in the 40th minute of play. Luisito Quinten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th match minute, Lyons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wambasther Piqué to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Eduardo Enol was substituted for You Nan. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boleslaw Zielinski to make the kick off. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Eduardo Enol got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eduardo Enol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisito Quinten made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Eduardo Enol sent off a good shot on target. Lyons's Dariusz Roano was substituted for Boleslaw Zielinski. Lyons made a substitution. Aurelio Vasco replaced Mario Chago. The throw-in from Baldomero Hitz in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Lyons's Ruperto Salvadore. Chucky Norris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dariusz Roano in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Dariusz Roano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Dariusz Roano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chucky Norris. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dariusz Roano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Dariusz Roano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 85 minutes into the match, Eduardo Enol dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luisito Quinten, 2-2. Lyons's Luisito Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Senen in the 94th minute of play. Luisito Quinten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cipriano Senen went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The SAN MARTIN F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SAN MARTIN F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
