When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ermegildo Theobald sped through Unión y Progreso Tandil's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hernan Firme. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hurboc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Haroldo Berbiz was slow to take the kick. During this time Unión y Progreso Tandil's players had a chance to rest. Hernan Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Selami Baycan in the 28th minute of play. Hernan Firme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apalasuka Moco, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Hurboc's Apalasuka Moco in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hurboc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unión y Progreso Tandil the free kick. A collision led to Hurboc getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. After 46 played minutes, Unión y Progreso Tandil's Haroldo Berbiz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ignacio Quintun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Unión y Progreso Tandil reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Apalasuka Moco in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hernan Firme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Hurboc were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Apalasuka Moco made the kick off in the second half. Apalasuka Moco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Hernan Firme made a huge save. After 60 minutes Unión y Progreso Tandil's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Toader Vancea who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Toader Vancea almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Unión y Progreso Tandil's Hernan Firme did a great save. Apalasuka Moco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Hernan Firme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Hurboc's Apalasuka Moco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hernan Firme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hernan Firme came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Hurboc's Apalasuka Moco. But to his dismay, Apalasuka Moco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After a rather tough play, Unión y Progreso Tandil's Haroldo Berbiz got a free kick in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cícero Moura in the 76th minute of play forced Hurboc's goalkeeper Ignacio Quintun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hurboc's Ignacio Quintun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Bermudo in the 78th minute of play. Ermegildo Theobald took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hernan Firme. Hernan Firme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Hurboc made a substitution. Damian Enekoitz replaced Apalasuka Moco. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Zeledon Bermudo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unión y Progreso Tandil's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Bermudo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignacio Quintun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cícero Moura during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hurboc booed when Unión y Progreso Tandil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cícero Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Hurboc players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
