In the 6th minute, Sergey Nikiforenko reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sabin Pânzaru. The goal made the score 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Qian Cheng Xing in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gianluigi Buffon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sabin Pânzaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Kaxen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of the xeneise dream team booed when Defensores del Tiki Tiki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanks to some nice moves Justino Kaxen could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Sabin Pânzaru however easily saved by the left post. In the 30th minute Sergey Nikiforenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabin Pânzaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gianluigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Habil Castolo in the 34th minute of the match. Qian Cheng Xing took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gianluigi Buffon. Gianluigi Buffon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. It was Justino Kaxen who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Dario Guillem getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 88th minute Isaac Sundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
