An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Cordera in the 21st minute of play forced Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Evelio Antoniano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Laurentzi got free with Stanislav Dvorskiy in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The nice shot from Paulo Laurentzi in the 27thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Stanislav Dvorskiy had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Evelio Antoniano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sydney Baiano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-2 in the 94 minute of play. Resistencia Tayrona FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
