The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Przemyslaw Prusek to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clóvis Queiroz in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwin van der Sar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pacorro Aguilar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anderson Hoffmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play.
