An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Moreno in the 11th minute of play forced Alianza FC's goalkeeper Nofre Estany to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Alianza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Su Qian Cheng came free, but Nofre Estany reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alianza FC's Nofre Estany played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy Siggman in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Ciprian in the 22nd minute of play forced Internacional Pechofrío's goalkeeper Joonatan Schols to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Internacional Pechofrío made a substitution. Loi Bultes replaced Paul Moreno. Alianza FC's César Domingues was substituted for Cordara Herbon. In the 79th match minute, Internacional Pechofrío was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loi Bultes to maneuver through the defense.
