Orestis Karnezis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anoush Khalatbari's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Orestis Karnezis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when American Airlines's Bennvar Nobel fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
