If Arturo Di Rado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Tyrone Wolff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stacy Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wander Suzanne in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute of the match Charlotte FC got a corner. Black Knights FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wander Suzanne ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaja Jamak in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stacy Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 12 minutes Black Knights FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wander Suzanne who took care of the corner kick. In the 14th minute, Primo Dunđer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 16 minutes, Elliot Mercado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Black Knights FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elliot Mercado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Charlotte FC booed when Black Knights FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elliot Mercado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bryant Miles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliot Mercado in the 29th minute of play. In the 29thth minute of the game Elliot Mercado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Charlotte FC's Bryant Miles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Francesco Keller made in the 30th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Black Knights FC's Rodrigo Caracedo. Stacy Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaja Jamak, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Black Knights FC's Stacy Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaja Jamak in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Charlotte FC's zone, Arturo Di Rado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bryant Miles came out of the goal and Arturo Di Rado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute Kaja Jamak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stacy Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Black Knights FC made a substitution. Lincoln Downey replaced Kirby Metzger. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Rafferty to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Vicente Rafferty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stacy Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elliot Mercado kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Bryant Miles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Di Rado, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Elliot Mercado might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bryant Miles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elliot Mercado ran back to his position shaking his head. 69 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elliot Mercado came free, but Bryant Miles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arturo Di Rado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bryant Miles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Charlotte FC's Bryant Miles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Charlotte FC from getting a goal against them. Stacy Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Rafferty in the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Black Knights FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Rafferty came free, but Stacy Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
