Alexandrino Quintas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sporting Clube Patrício booed when SC Atabueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. SC Atabueira's Isidro Damásio got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abílio Lobo's late challenge caught a SC Atabueira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abílio Lobo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube Patrício's Abílio Lobo got a free kick in the 38th minute. Caio Carmona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saúl Caneira in the 40th minute of the match. In the 44thth minute of the game Altino Paião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Atabueira's Jarbas Teves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

When Horácio Chagas fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Clube Patrício's protests and gave Horácio Chagas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sporting Clube Patrício getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Horácio Chagas hit a great ball. When Abílio Lobo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 53 minutes had been played. Sporting Clube Patrício's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
