Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Aires, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Okanalp Öksal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Prosperi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner. Miguel Prosperi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Elpidio Francis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Loco De Remate's Okanalp Öksal did a great save. In the 18th minute, Amado Nisio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Branislav Velchevski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hıdır Namal in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Francis in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Okanalp Öksal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski got control of the ball when Hıdır Namal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rene Aires had several of the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Branislav Velchevski as he didn't even see the shot coming. Bruno Medero hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Aires in the 39th minute of play. Rene Aires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Branislav Velchevski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Arnaldo Gabon was substituted for Miguel Prosperi. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elpidio Francis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hıdır Namal in the 53rd minute of play. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's attentive Rafael Dalmu managed to snatch the ball when Roberto Mouzo made a throw-in in the 57th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Elpidio Francis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Okanalp Öksal. That made the score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Aires in the 63rd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Loco De Remate's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Francis came free, but Okanalp Öksal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elpidio Francis in the 66th minute. A nice corner shot did that Elpidio Francis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Okanalp Öksal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Loco De Remate's Okanalp Öksal couldn't get a good grip on the ball when Elpidio Francis shot the distance nicking the right pole and went into goal in the 66th minute, 1-2. Loco De Remate's Feliciano Iratxo was substituted for Hıdır Namal. Loco De Remate made a substitution. Baškim Sumulikovski replaced Laurids Grejsen. Rafael Dalmu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Okanalp Öksal having to make a save. Loco De Remate made a substitution. After 82 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Suarez. Clodoveo Christobal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Branislav Velchevski having to make a save. In the 90th minute Clodoveo Christobal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th match minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Dalmu to maneuver through the defense. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
