In the 9thth minute of the game Inácio Figueiredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Barra Gol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 12th match minute, S S Palestra Italia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Roano to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Emanuel Vigil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jarbas Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Vigil in the 15th minute of the match. When Inácio Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the S S Palestra Italia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the game, Cafu de Andrade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jarbas Guedes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Josué de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Jarbas Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Vigil in the 24th minute of the match. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gabriel Delassus in the 25th minute. Jarbas Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Delassus in the 26th minute of play. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Barra Gol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save PEÇONHENTO FC MG from getting a goal against them. S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Vigil in the 34th minute of play. Tarcisio Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Guedes having to interfere. If Tarcisio Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barra Gol had great luck who in the 44thth minute grab hold of the ball when Zé Roberto Moura from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Roberto Moura made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Gavino Quexal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Vigil got free with Jarbas Guedes in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Jarbas Guedes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 61st minute, Gavino Quexal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Rony Tasso fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S S Palestra Italia's protests and gave Rony Tasso a yellow card for diving instead. S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarcisio Luz in the 69th minute of play. Nestor Bernal hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Fabiano Munhoz was substituted for Tony Tavares. Jarbas Guedes made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Cafu de Andrade sent off a good shot on target.
