Thanks to some nice moves Angelo Pessoa could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which David Prada however easily saved by the left post. 12 minutes into the match, AM United's Teodoro Freire sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Prada narrowly saved just below the crossbar. AM United's David Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhuang Fan Zhen in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Angelo Pessoa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. David Prada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 23 minutes into the game, SANFINS VLP's Zhuang Fan Zhen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Bastos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, AM United's goal looked a bit too open when Zhuang Fan Zhen came free, but David Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SANFINS VLP booed when AM United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Pessoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelo Pessoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Angelo Pessoa struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. David Prada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AM United. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Eduardo Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. SANFINS VLP's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Bastos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of SANFINS VLP booed when AM United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inocencio Salbatore took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for David Bastos. AM United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudio Caniggia was the one to do the kick off. Angelo Pessoa scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Prada, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. David Bastos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claudio Caniggia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 56 minute of play. Claudio Caniggia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the match, SANFINS VLP's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Pessoa came free, but David Prada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Angelo Pessoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Prada. SANFINS VLP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angelo Pessoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 65th minute, Angelo Pessoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by 邵斌昂 in the 67th minute of play forced AM United's goalkeeper David Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Pessoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. David Prada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Viana in the 70th minute of play forced AM United's goalkeeper David Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Prada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Pessoa in the 80th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SANFINS VLP's zone, Angelo Pessoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Prada came out of the goal and Angelo Pessoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelo Pessoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Prada having to interfere. When Jiang fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AM United's protests and gave Jiang a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Jiang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
