In the 6th minute, Harry Meikleham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Prada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Vigário in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by SANFINS VLP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. João Viana was slow to take the kick. During this time Garanhão do SUL's players had a chance to rest. Akis Kefallinos made a great header on Garanhão do SUL's corner, it was just that SANFINS VLP's David Prada managed to reach the ball for a save. 13 minutes into the match, Edgar Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Prada. SANFINS VLP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgar Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Edgar Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Claudio Caniggia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alex Frasca. Claudio Caniggia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 23 minutes into the game, SANFINS VLP's Zhuang Fan Zhen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Frasca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 27th match minute, SANFINS VLP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Caniggia to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Alex Frasca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Caniggia. Alex Frasca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhuang Fan Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SANFINS VLP's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Basílio Silveira in the 35th minute. After taking down the ball on SANFINS VLP's corner Basílio Silveira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alex Frasca quite easily take care of the ball. Basílio Silveira made a great header on SANFINS VLP's corner, it was just that Garanhão do SUL's Alex Frasca managed to reach the ball for a save. 41 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goal looked a bit too open when Zhuang Fan Zhen came free, but Alex Frasca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Prada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Costa in the 44th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

54 minutes into the match, Eduardo Viana notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Garanhão do SUL's Alex Frasca. Alex Frasca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Garanhão do SUL's Michal Kaczanka got a free kick in the 56th minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Zhuang Fan Zhen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SANFINS VLP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zhuang Fan Zhen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 67 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Lousada. Garanhão do SUL's 孙誉剑 was substituted for Amado Vigário. Garanhão do SUL's Torcato Rebocho was substituted for Michal Kaczanka. After a rather tough play, Garanhão do SUL's Salvador Lousada got a free kick in the 68th minute. With his leg David Prada managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Garanhão do SUL's Edgar Costa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Edgar Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Prada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgar Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. If Edgar Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SANFINS VLP booed when Garanhão do SUL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torcato Rebocho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar Costas short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got David Prada to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 91st minute of the match Garanhão do SUL got a corner. SANFINS VLP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassiano Telinhos ran over to the corner to take the kick. Garanhão do SUL's Cassiano Telinhos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but David Prada in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 95 minutes into the match, SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torcato Rebocho. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SANFINS VLP were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Garanhão do SUL for a fine match.
