The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th match minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Siekkötter to maneuver through the defense. Esen Sanal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Peralta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosme Fulanito might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esen Sanal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cosme Fulanito ran back to his position shaking his head. Esen Sanal made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Cosme Fulanito sent off a good shot on target. Valentin Bujor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Siekkötter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esen Sanal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Peralta in the 15th minute of the match. David Peralta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esen Sanal having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Raimundo Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, D.P.Aarburg's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Augusto came free, but Valentin Bujor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Bujor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krisztián Véber, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Valentin Bujor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krisztián Véber in the 48th minute of play.

D.P.Aarburg's Valentin Bujor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save D.P.Aarburg from getting a goal against them. Lucio Siekkötter scored 0-2 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valentin Bujor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valentin Bujor came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lucio Siekkötter. But to his dismay, Lucio Siekkötter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krisztián Véber in the 66th minute of play forced D.P.Aarburg's goalkeeper Valentin Bujor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Peralta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute David Peralta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esen Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Bujor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Siekkötter in the 73rd minute of play. After 81 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by Bai Cheng Kang. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Peralta in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krisztián Véber in the 88th minute of play forced D.P.Aarburg's goalkeeper Valentin Bujor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. D.P.Aarburg's Valentin Bujor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Siekkötter in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul booed when D.P.Aarburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leal Castilho didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over S.E.R. Caxias do Sul could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than D.P.Aarburg throughout the match.
