The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luiz Fabiano Sena took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Bastos. David Bastos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Luiz Fabiano Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. David Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th match minute, Bizard FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guga Zaracho to maneuver through the defense. AM United were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Bizard FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jorge Morais took the corner. Jiang was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Angelo Pessoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Sena in the 24th minute of the match. Bizard FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Albert Sparnaaij in the 25th minute. In the 33rd minute, Angelo Pessoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adelino Palma made in the 43rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jorge Morais immediately put the ball in play. David Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bizard FC's Per-Arne Stålberg was substituted for Duarte Hoffmann. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Pessoa to make the kick off. 60 minutes into the match, AM United's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fabiano Sena came free, but David Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute Bizard FC were awarded a corner. Albert Sparnaaij went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Bizard FC's Albert Sparnaaij to fire away a dangerous shot which David Bastos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some careless play in the AM United defense, Luiz Fabiano Sena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Bastos. The AM United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Bastos should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute Angelo Pessoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademar Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Luiz Fabiano Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bizard FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fabiano Sena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Bastos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute Angelo Pessoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademar Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bizard FC's Per-Arne Stålberg got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 93 played minutes AM United got a freekick which was hit by Elias Novais. David Bastos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guga Zaracho in the 94th minute. The Bizard FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bizard FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
