The referee showed Rubim Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 37 played minutes Sporting Clube Patrício got a freekick which was hit by Rubim Queirós. Ademar Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frits van Gaal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rdth minute of the game Ştefan Magheran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Clube Patrício's Ademar Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
