A collision led to Andarilhos getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Luís Espinosa hit a great ball. Edgar Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Jon Oblak made a huge save. Jon Oblak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glauco Baiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The SAS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Andarilhos were winning 0-1.

Edvaldo Brasil came out and tried to block the shot, but Antony Bruno slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antony Bruno in the 55th minute of play forced SAS's goalkeeper Edvaldo Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 played minutes Andarilhos got a freekick which was hit by Jarbas Pinheiro. Jorge Ruas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Edvaldo Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvaldo Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Ruas in the 65th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonzalo Montiel got free with Edvaldo Brasil in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edvaldo Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Ruas in the 68th minute of play. Jarbas Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Edvaldo Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SAS's Edvaldo Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antony Bruno in the 74th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fu Han Qiang in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edvaldo Brasil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79th minute Agostinho Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Oblak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarbas Pinheiro scored 0-3 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edvaldo Brasil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jon Oblak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Carneiro in the 90th minute of play. Gonzalo Montiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andarilhos played a much better game than SAS and deserved their victory. The SAS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
