Nicodemo Saravia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adérito Palhares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by GD JULIO DINIS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Moncho Benítez was slow to take the kick. During this time ☠QUINTERO☠'s players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Moncho Benítez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but GD JULIO DINIS's Adérito Palhares did a great save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Nicodemo Saravia made the kick off in the second half. Casimír Ambrosetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Adérito Palhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in GD JULIO DINIS's zone, Qu Ming Qiang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adérito Palhares came out of the goal and Qu Ming Qiang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ☠QUINTERO☠'s Carlos Manuel Facuse was substituted for Nicodemo Saravia. Carlos Manuel Facuse took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adérito Palhares. Adérito Palhares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 64th minute Casimír Ambrosetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adérito Palhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Carlos Manuel Facuse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adérito Palhares was relentless in the 65th minute of the game.
