The referee ignored Salelles's protests and gave Gandolfo Acosta a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Gandolfo Acosta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Figueira SC FSCMZ booed when Salelles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Txema Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Femke Bol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinicio Turrilla in the 22nd minute. When Dadá Macedo came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Figueira SC FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dadá Macedo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urtzi Zamorano in the 24th minute of play forced Salelles's goalkeeper Giuseppe Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giuseppe Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Reis in the 29th minute of play forced Salelles's goalkeeper Giuseppe Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Urtzi Zamorano put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Giuseppe Silveira. Giuseppe Silveira came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Figueira SC FSCMZ's Urtzi Zamorano. But to his dismay, Urtzi Zamorano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 37th minute, Vinicio Turrilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Figueira SC FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Caetano Tasso in the 39th minute. In the 40th match minute, Figueira SC FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Hartz to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, Salelles's goal looked a bit too open when Urtzi Zamorano came free, but Giuseppe Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41stth minute of the game Urtzi Zamorano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salelles's Giuseppe Silveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Figueira SC FSCMZ were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matthew De la Torre to make the kick off. Salelles's Giuseppe Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urtzi Zamorano in the 52nd minute of play. With his leg Giuseppe Silveira managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Figueira SC FSCMZ's Urtzi Zamorano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Giuseppe Silveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urtzi Zamorano in the 67th minute. With a little luck, Salelles's Giuseppe Silveira got control of the ball when Urtzi Zamorano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Urtzi Zamoranos short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Giuseppe Silveira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Traian Chelaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Femke Bol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Figueira SC FSCMZ made a substitution. Abelardo Veloso replaced Caetano Tasso. In the 74th minute, Vinicio Turrilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Salelles's Cecilio Unzueta got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 81st match minute, Salelles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afşar Çoğaş to maneuver through the defense. Giuseppe Silveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuri Reis in the 86th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Salelles's goal looked a bit too open when Urtzi Zamorano came free, but Giuseppe Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Urtzi Zamorano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Figueira SC FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Urtzi Zamorano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giuseppe Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
