The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrián Espadas got free with Armindo Maltez in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Boaventura in the 25th minute of play forced Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Vitaliy Vischak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ponte do Carro's Armindo Maltez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrián Espadas in the 28th minute of play. Rodolfo Atarrabi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Armindo Maltez made a huge save. Soroca F.C.'s Adrián Espadas was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 32nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 34th minute Adrián Espadas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Maltez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armindo Maltez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Loukianos Livas to make the kick off. A nice corner shot did that Zézinho Neiva got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Armindo Maltez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Răzvan Necula ran back to his position shaking his head. The Soroca F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Soroca F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ponte do Carro for a fine match.
