Jaime Rodrigues showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Eduardo Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valério Vilaça in the 21st minute of play. Bernardo Leiria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristóvão Ribeiro in the 22nd minute. SLB TELHA's Bernardo Leiria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Mendonça in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27th minute Paulo Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valério Vilaça in the 29th minute of play forced Inter Gala's goalkeeper Eduardo Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduardo Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valério Vilaça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valério Vilaça in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Rodrigues to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, SLB TELHA's Liboslav Krušina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduardo Baiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 57th minute, Valério Vilaça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Baiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Liboslav Krušina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inter Gala made a substitution. Heinz Stalder replaced Jaime Rodrigues.
