Donato Lorenz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Granate's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandros Peropoulos came free, but Donato Lorenz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 minutes Granate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Eleazar who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Wang Feng got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Donato Lorenz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Alexandros Peropoulos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Lorenz was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 25thth minute of the game Alexandros Peropoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Granate's Donato Lorenz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alexandros Peropoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato Lorenz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Granate's goalkeeper Donato Lorenz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandros Peropoulos to make the kick off. Alexandros Peropoulos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donato Lorenz having to make a save. 51 minutes into the match, Granate's goalkeeper Donato Lorenz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandros Peropoulos. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Barrialito AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
