In the 4th minute of the match PGE FC got a corner. Zelg FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bartolo Leoiar ran over to the corner to take the kick. PGE FC's Fabricio Macerio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sepp Mainville in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. PGE FC's Rolando Merexildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save PGE FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Zelg FC's zone, Francisco Onbera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sepp Mainville came out of the goal and Francisco Onbera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sepp Mainville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Godoi in the 24th minute of the match. Rolando Merexildo made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Gilles Clerc sent off a good shot on target. If Bartolo Leoiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bartolo Leoiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sepp Mainville having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

PGE FC's Rolando Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Herz in the 53rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Mauro Odon put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sepp Mainville. Jonas Herz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 played minutes PGE FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Adrio. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing PGE FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
