Inocencio Veronica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César de Queiroz in the 8th minute of play. Atlético Mineiro's Fynn John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Jax in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute Rolando Jax shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fynn John saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético Mineiro's Fynn John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio in the 14th minute of play. Fynn John showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Jax in the 15th minute of the match. Inocencio Veronica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 18th match minute, Atlético Mineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio França to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th match minute, Atlético Mineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Arantes to maneuver through the defense. Octavio Gonzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Fynn John tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Luís Best received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Rafaela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Jax was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fynn John showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
In the 51st minute, Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
