Franklin de Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. MIT Craiova's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mihăiţă Ilarie in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorin Banu in the 12th minute of play forced SA Samsunspor 2011's goalkeeper Alex Remiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14 played minutes MIT Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Tiberiu Caramarin. Alex Remiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorin Banu in the 16th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Dorin Banu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Remiro was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 88th minute, MIT Craiova got a penalty, and Romeo Gherghescu placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind SA Samsunspor 2011's goalkeeper Alex Remiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. David Tunander's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alex Remiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 97th match minute, MIT Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicodim Orășan to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. MIT Craiova had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
