The corner ended in Ricardinho Pena almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Araçá F. C.'s Jefferson de Moraes did a great save. A collision led to Araçá F. C. getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Javier Abalos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 20th minute of play forced Araçá F. C.'s goalkeeper Jefferson de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nilmar Vieira to strike the kick off in the second half. Araçá F. C.'s Jefferson de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 54th minute of play. Jefferson de Moraes came out of the goal and Aníbal Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jenipapo SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
