Jefferson de Moraes had great luck who in the 3rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Alfredo Martins from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jefferson de Moraes made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Nestor Paraibano sent off a good shot on target. Nestor Paraibano might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jefferson de Moraes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nestor Paraibano ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Araçá F. C. getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Joélson de Sousa hit a great ball. Jefferson de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, German Cano took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jefferson de Moraes to make any attempt to save it. Jefferson de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Martins in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match, Alfredo Martins tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jefferson de Moraes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as German Cano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jefferson de Moraes. That made the score 2-0 in the 30 minute of play. Dida Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilmar Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, German Cano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Araçá F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Martins came free, but Jefferson de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelo Luz charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelo Luz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Araçá F. C. getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Angelo Luz hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Araçá F. C. booed when Marquês de Herval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jefferson de Moraes should have stopped the shot. 97 minutes into the game, Marquês de Herval's Nestor Paraibano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jefferson de Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Marquês de Herval fully deserved thier win.
