PTC Pabianice's Borys Wolnik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Petroni in the 17th minute of play. Manfred Konradsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Borys Wolnik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manfred Konradsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Borys Wolnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfred Konradsson in the 18th minute of play. Manfred Konradsson took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Borys Wolnik. Borys Wolnik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfred Konradsson in the 30th minute of play forced PTC Pabianice's goalkeeper Borys Wolnik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olaf Lemiesz got a throw-in 32 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Wladyslaw Basinski. Borys Wolnik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manfred Konradsson went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudio Caniggia during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dariusz Kaszubik's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but George Wiklund firmly grabbed it by the left post. Olaf Lemiesz kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in PTC Pabianice's zone, Manfred Konradsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Borys Wolnik came out of the goal and Manfred Konradsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
After 52 minutes, Manfred Konradsson made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. PTC Pabianice's Borys Wolnik tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Lemel SV's George Wiklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwan Dubilas in the 55th minute of play. Iwan Dubilas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dariusz Kaszubik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60th minute Dariusz Kaszubik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Wiklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manfred Konradsson got free with Borys Wolnik in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manfred Konradsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Borys Wolnik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dariusz Kaszubik in the 73rd minute of play forced Lemel SV's goalkeeper George Wiklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Manfred Konradsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lemel SV made a substitution. Dennis Bergkamp replaced Ettore Petroni. PTC Pabianice made a substitution. Boruc Kensicki replaced Ziemowit Kiewra. In the 81st minute Dennis Bergkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Wolnik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Olaf Lemiesz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, Dennis Bergkamp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Borys Wolnik. PTC Pabianice's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dennis Bergkamp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. When the final whistle sounded Lemel SV left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than PTC Pabianice.
