Róbert Pál-Szabó started the match with the kick off. Róbert Pál-Szabó sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Champions Iasi's Ferdinand Joldea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrei Alexandrescu in the 6th minute of play. Andrei Alexandrescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Ferdinand Joldea made a huge save. Champions Iasi's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Iustin Coporan in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Coporan in the 14th minute of play forced Emerald's goalkeeper Nichifor Nicolae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Alo Ülend hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Emerald's goal looked a bit too open when Róbert Pál-Szabó came free, but Nichifor Nicolae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Emerald booed when Champions Iasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliodor Moisescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Champions Iasi's Ferdinand Joldea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Champions Iasi from getting a goal against them. Nichifor Nicolae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Lupescu in the 24th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Emerald's Matei Félix Júnior got a free kick in the 26th minute. Róbert Pál-Szabó's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nichifor Nicolae read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Emerald's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iustin Coporan was slow to take the kick. During this time Champions Iasi's players had a chance to rest. 33 minutes into the game, Corneliu Lupescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nichifor Nicolae was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Corneliu Lupescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nichifor Nicolae. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Corneliu Lupescu ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the match, Emerald's goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Lupescu came free, but Nichifor Nicolae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Iustin Coporan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Champions Iasi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Gigi Junilă hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriel Vermeşan to strike the kick off in the second half. Zachariasz Charamut took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nichifor Nicolae. Nichifor Nicolae dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Vermeşan in the 55th minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Ferdinand Joldea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iustin Coporan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Nichifor Nicolae made a huge save. In the last second Nichifor Nicolae throw himself and got hold of the ball when Iustin Coporan in the 57thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 58 minutes into the match, Emerald's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Coporan came free, but Nichifor Nicolae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emerald's Nichifor Nicolae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbert Pál-Szabó in the 60th minute of play. When Champions Iasi's Róbert Pál-Szabó in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Emerald's goalie prevented a goal. Iustin Coporan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Nichifor Nicolae made a huge save. Emerald's Nichifor Nicolae proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Emerald from getting a goal against them. Pompiliu Uncheşelu scored 1-3 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferdinand Joldea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nichifor Nicolae made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Iustin Coporan sent off a good shot on target. Ferdinand Joldea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Vermeşan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emerald's Nichifor Nicolae proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Emerald from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Champions Iasi could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Emerald throughout the match.
