Frank Lauria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mai Ping Yi, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Dark Prophets's Geronimo Argi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustin Coporan in the 37th minute of play. Geronimo Argi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbert Pál-Szabó, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bror Nordstedt to make the kick off. The Dark Prophets fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geronimo Argi should have stopped the shot. Rolf De Weerdt hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Iustin Coporan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Geronimo Argi. Dark Prophets's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Frank Lauria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bror Nordstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Champions Iasi's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
