The corner led Fotbal Club Vaslui's Wellington Neves to fire away a dangerous shot which Eduardo Dorado despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fotbal Club Vaslui's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cosmin Bocșan in the 11th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorival Sarmento got free with Andrei Oloieru in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A wasted opportunity for Fotbal Club Vaslui. The supporters of Fotbal Club Vaslui booed when FC Hamunaptra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Ndereba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Dorado came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Fotbal Club Vaslui's Feliberto Rito. But to his dismay, Feliberto Rito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4.
